Speaker/Program

Tim Long from the Rotary Club of Terra Linda was selected as a team leader for US GSE Team 2005 to Mexico.  He spoke on the experience as team leader.  They flew into Tobasco where it was “hot” – really hot – 114 degrees.  Traveled throughout 3 States and many long bus trips.  He shared a slide show of the trip.  He shared the varied topography changes from cities to deserts to small villages plus many examples of environmental projects such as recycling, cleaning water to drink, better farming techniques and visited Mayan ruins.  There were very uplifting images of progress.  This year’s team will be going to Chile with Novato’s Dean Heffelfinger as team leader.  Team members this year did our district proud.  While no vocational requirements, all were in public welfare.

Raffle was won by Don Wichman.  No luck  L  .
