He is in the Intake Unit for Consumer Protection. They refer cases to enforcement units and investigate and mediate cases. They bring action on behalf of the Stare of California seeking restitution and civil penalties. And best of all they haven’t cost the taxpayers a dime. They are very involved in cases where individuals or businesses are trying scam folks, especially seniors or the very young. Some suggestions for information: § snopes.com is a myth buster site § hoakskill.com also § everyone should get an annual copy of their credit report – you can do this on the internet § also send scam email to consumer@co.marin.ca.us
