Announcements

-Bob Carpenter
put in a pitch for their upcoming Fiesta Dinner.  This is to raise funds for their upcoming trip to Mexico to build houses for the otherwise homeless.  Tickets are $15 and the dinner is at Inn Marin on 24 February, 2008.

- President John Marshall announced that at the Novato awards the city put out a proclamation that named Ignacio Rotary as the lead club in the renovation of Stafford Park.

- Steve Minutoli reminded all that our annual blood drive will be 20 March, 2008

- Fred Pfeifer reminded us that the district conference is 9 April up at South Lake Tahoe.  He called for a show of hands as to who’s planning to be there.

- Dave Pitchford noted that those not going to the conference could join in on the Interact trip to Mexico, 6-12 April.  He could use some adult supervision (nobody’s currently scheduled to keep an eye on him).

- Daryl filled in for the Fish report on Monte Carlo and pushed all to get going on auction items and tickets.  If you’re one who buys tickets rather than trying to sell them be sure to give them to someone.  The event is a success if we get a lot of people there, not just the money for a bunch of tickets.

Inductions:

Don Cliver sponsored Philippe Hobson

In lieu of Fines we heard poems from:

Dave Pitchford
            Charles Swensen
            Dick O’Brian
            Daryl Weinroth
