MEETING MINUTES February 10, 2005 at Inn Marin, IgnacioSubmitted by Suzanne Bales Daryl Weinroth led the pledge followed by words of wisdom from Pastor Stan. President Elect Tony Elshout was in charge of this meeting. It seems a large group is somewhere in Canada instead of at our meeting. Visiting Rotarians There were no visiting Rotarians today.

AnnouncementsMarie Borders is looking for blood donors, March 3rd. Appointments run 9:30AM until 2:30PM. You can contact Marie at marie@investorstrust.com or 893 1616 ext 303 if available to donate.
Larry Levy stated 16 wheelchairs have been purchased. $75 buys a chair, so let Larry know if you can donate.
Pres to be Tony discussed the Hearts of Plenty dinner, tonight at 6:30.
Fred Pfeifer reminded all of the fireside next Wednesday, the 16th-Valentined theme at Indian Valley golf course. $25 pp-let Fred know if you and spouse or other can attend.
Greg Chidlaw quizzed Bill Kelly on the dine around for MC and he passed. 5:30-700 pm. The restaurants included are Grazie, Cacti, Hilltop, Ricky’s Wild Fox and Graces at Days Inn. We see $20 to MC for each diner participating.
Greg reminded us that each and every Rotarian buys a MC ticket. Be sure to check out the web site www.rotarymontecarlo.org. All silent auction items are due no later than March 1st.
Daryl is looking for volunteers for this Sat, Scottsdale Pond.
Pauline Stuber stated the Wulbern scholarship money, $2500 per year, 4 years, UC only, will be with us for at least 7 more years.
Jerry Ghirardo awarded Luann Jackman with her Paul Harris award. Recognition Daryl got after Chidlaw for general attitude and demeanor. Didn’t seem to faze him!
Bob Kane was happy to pay for his trip from San Diego to Lima. Then Daryl went to work on induction fines: Jerry Ghirardo and Marie Borders Speaker Dr. Carol Patterson, of the Marin Community Clinic, executive director, discussed their mission to care medically for the uninsured and underserved of Marin County. 80% of their clients do work full time. They manage over 50,000 visits a year between the Novato and Marin General location. They are trying to establish a satellite office in the canal area. They truly are amazing in how many clients they help.
