December is Foundation Month

The first meeting of December our president, John, called the meeting to order at about 12:30.  Following the pledge led by John Marshall, Larry Levy gave his thoughts for the day noting that Pastor Stan had passed away a year ago and that it was the second day of Hanukkah.

Speaker/Program

John Griffin gave a very informative speech on State Farm insurance for today’s Craft talk.  State Farm insures 20% of all homes and14% of all cars in California and enjoys a 19% share of all cars nation wide which equates to about 42 million vehicles. Not sure how interested his fellow Rotarians would be about insurance after the Holidays proved to be very as newmorous questions were asked regarding Southern California wildfires and replacement cost. A very informative speech.

Thanks John.

Jim Lamont was inducted into Rotary today by Peter Pelham. Jim gave his 5 minute talk about his life which started in Queens NY and at the age of 14 found himself living in California. After working in the South bay with Dotcom companies the birth of Jim’s child encouraged him to move his business to Novato where he has enjoyed working and raising his family. Now after building a successful Financial Planner Company Jim is ready to give back to his community through Rotary.

Welcome to Rotary Jim.
